FreeTime LLC Marketplace

Effective date: July 15, 2026

This Privacy Policy (this “Policy”) explains how FreeTime LLC, a Nevada limited-liability company (“FreeTime,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and otherwise processes information in connection with our websites (including freetime.app), our mobile applications, and the online marketplace we operate (collectively, the “Platform”). The marketplace connects customers seeking home and personal services with independent third-party service providers.

FreeTime operates the Platform as a neutral venue. The independent providers who offer and perform services through the Platform (“Providers”) are not employees of FreeTime. Customers (“customers” or “clients”) contract with Providers for the services they book. This Policy applies to everyone who interacts with the Platform, including customers, Providers, and visitors to our websites and applications. It describes our practices with respect to information we handle as a business. It does not govern information that a Provider or customer independently collects or uses outside the Platform; that party is responsible for its own practices.

Please read this Policy together with our Cookie Policy and our Terms of Use. By accessing or using the Platform, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Policy. If you do not agree with it, please do not use the Platform. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings given in the Terms of Use. Looking for the short version? Read our privacy commitment for a plain-language overview of how we protect your information; this Policy is the binding legal document.

Questions about this Policy may be directed to our privacy team at privacy@freetime.app or by mail at 521 Fifth Avenue, 17th Floor, New York, NY 10175.

1. Information We Collect

The categories of information we collect, examples of the data in each category, and the primary sources from which we obtain it are summarized in the table below. Not every user provides every category; what we collect depends on how you use the Platform and whether you are a customer, a Provider, or a visitor. Identifiers and contact data. We collect the information needed to create and administer your account, contact you, and operate the Platform. This includes your name, email address, phone number, and the mailing or service address associated with a booking.

Account and profile data. Customers and Providers create profiles. Providers additionally supply business and service information (such as service categories, description, availability, service area, and any credentials) that customers rely on when booking.

Booking and transaction data. When a booking is requested, accepted, performed, or paid, we collect details of the service. These include its scheduling and location, the premises where the service is performed, and the resulting transaction, ratings, refunds, and disputes.

Payment information. Payments and Provider payouts are processed by our third-party payment processor, Stripe. That processor collects your payment-card or bank details directly and handles them under its own terms and privacy policy. FreeTime does not store full payment-card numbers; we receive limited information such as transaction tokens, the last four digits, authorization results, and payout confirmations.

Provider verification and background-check data. To support trust and safety, Providers are asked to verify their identity and to undergo background and reference checks performed by our third-party background-check vendor, Checkr. This may involve sensitive information, including government identifiers and criminal-history results. We handle this information as described in Section 10 (Sensitive Information).

Geolocation data. We infer approximate location from your IP address. Where you grant device permission, we collect precise geolocation to match customers with nearby Providers, route service, and confirm that a service occurred. You can withdraw location permission through your device settings, though some features may not function without it.

Device, usage, and online-activity data. We automatically collect information about your device and how you interact with the Platform, and we and our partners use cookies and similar technologies as described in Section 5.

Communications and support data. We collect messages exchanged through the Platform (including customer-Provider messaging), your support inquiries, and related records. We may monitor or review Platform communications for safety, quality, fraud-prevention, and compliance purposes where permitted by law.

User content, ratings, and photos. We collect the reviews, ratings, photographs, and other content you choose to submit. Content you post publicly (such as a review) may be visible to other users.

Inferences. We may derive inferences from the information above to personalize the Platform, improve matching, and detect fraud or misuse.

2. Sources of Information

We obtain information from the following sources:

  • Directly from you, when you create an account, complete a profile, request or offer services, communicate with us or other users, submit content, or contact support.
  • Automatically, through cookies, SDKs, log files, and similar technologies when you access or use the Platform, as described in Sections 1 and 5.
  • From service providers and vendors, including our payment processor, background-check and identity-verification vendors, hosting and infrastructure providers, and analytics providers.
  • From other users, for example, when a customer books a Provider, or when a user submits a review, referral, or report about another user.
  • From referrals and social-login providers. If you register or sign in using a third-party credential, or are referred by another user, we may receive limited information from that source, consistent with your settings on that service.

3. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • Provide and facilitate the Platform: create and administer accounts, match customers with Providers, enable bookings, messaging, and scheduling, and otherwise operate the marketplace.
  • Process payments: charge customers, remit payouts to Providers, issue refunds, and manage chargebacks and disputes, through our payment processor.
  • Safety, verification, and fraud prevention: verify Provider identity and background, promote trust and safety, investigate reports, and detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
  • Customer support: respond to inquiries, resolve disputes, and communicate with you about your account, bookings, and service issues.
  • Improve and develop: understand how the Platform is used, perform analytics, troubleshoot, and develop new and improved features and services.
  • Personalize: tailor content, recommendations, and matching based on your preferences and activity.
  • Marketing, with choices: send you promotional communications about the Platform and related offerings, subject to the choices described in Section 6.
  • Legal and compliance: comply with applicable laws, respond to legal process, enforce our Terms of Use and other agreements, and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

4. How We Share Information

We disclose information in the following ways:

  • Between customers and Providers: to fulfill a booking, we share the limited information each party needs to arrange, perform, or receive the service (for example, name, service address, contact details, scheduling, and booking specifics). Providers and customers must use this information only to perform the booking and consistent with our Terms of Use.
  • Service providers and processors (by category): we share information with vendors that perform services for us. These include payment processing, background checks and identity verification, cloud hosting and storage, communications and messaging, customer support, mapping/geolocation, and security and fraud-prevention services. These vendors are permitted to use the information only to provide services to us and are subject to confidentiality obligations.
  • Analytics and advertising partners: we share online-activity and device information with analytics and advertising partners to measure and improve the Platform and our marketing. This includes cookies and similar technologies as described in Section 5.
  • Legal and safety: we disclose information when we believe in good faith that it is required by law or legal process. We also disclose information when it is reasonably necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of FreeTime, our users, or the public, or to enforce our agreements.
  • Business transfers: information may be transferred as a business asset in connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of some or all of our assets.
  • With your consent or at your direction: for any other purpose disclosed to you at the time we collect the information, or with your consent.
  • Aggregated or de-identified information: we may share information that has been aggregated or de-identified so that it does not reasonably identify you. We will maintain and use such information in de-identified form as required by law.

“Sale,” “sharing,” and targeted advertising

FreeTime does not sell your personal information for money. However, we use analytics and advertising cookies and pixels, including Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta, and TikTok. Under some state privacy laws, that use constitutes “sharing” of personal information, or the processing of personal information for “targeted advertising” or “cross-context behavioral advertising.” You can opt out at any time through our cookie preferences (the “Manage cookies” link in the site footer), the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link, or by sending a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal from your browser or device. FreeTime honors GPC signals. See Sections 5 and 9 for details.

5. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We and our partners use cookies, pixels, tags, SDKs, and similar technologies to operate the Platform, remember your preferences, measure performance, and support analytics and marketing. For a detailed description of the technologies we use, the purposes for which we use them, and the choices available to you, please see our Cookie Policy.

Browser and device controls. Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies through their settings, and your device may offer controls to limit tracking and reset advertising identifiers. Disabling certain cookies may affect how the Platform functions.

Global Privacy Control. FreeTime honors opt-out preference signals, including the Global Privacy Control (GPC). We treat a valid signal received through your browser or device as a request to opt out of the “sale” or “share” of personal information, and of targeted advertising, for that browser or device.

6. Marketing Communications and Choices

You can control the marketing communications you receive from us:

  • Email: you may opt out of marketing emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link in the message or by contacting us at privacy@freetime.app. We will still send non-promotional, transactional messages relating to your account, bookings, and the services.
  • SMS/text messages: if you consent to receive text messages, you may opt out by replying STOP (or as otherwise instructed in the message). Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies.

Telephone and text consent (TCPA). Where we place calls or send text messages that require consent under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) or similar laws, we will obtain the consent required by law. Consent is not a condition of purchasing any service. You may revoke consent using the methods described above, or as otherwise provided at the time of collection.

SMS consent and phone number data. The mobile phone number and SMS consent information you provide to opt in to text messages are used solely to send you the messages you requested and to support those messages. We do not share or sell your SMS opt-in or consent information, or your mobile phone number, to third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes. We may share this information with the messaging service providers that help us deliver texts on our behalf, solely so they can send the messages you requested.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy. That includes providing the Platform, maintaining your account, and completing transactions. We then retain it as needed to comply with our legal, tax, accounting, and recordkeeping obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud and abuse, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or de-identify it. Actual retention periods depend on the type of information and applicable legal requirements; the periods below reflect our records-retention schedule.

These measures may include encryption in transit, access controls, authentication requirements, and monitoring. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for notifying us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account. If we become aware of a security incident affecting your personal information, we will notify you and any regulators as required by applicable law.

9. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information. This Section describes those rights and how to exercise them. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

(a) Nevada residents

Under Nevada law (NRS 603A.300-360), Nevada consumers have the right to submit a verified request directing a website operator not to make any “sale” of certain “covered information” that the operator has collected or will collect about the consumer. A “sale” under this law means the exchange of covered information for monetary consideration to a person for that person to license or sell the information to others. FreeTime does not currently sell covered information as defined by NRS 603A. To submit a request, contact us at privacy@freetime.app with the subject line “Nevada Opt-Out Request” and sufficient information for us to verify your identity and the request. We will respond within the time required by law.

(b) Comprehensive state privacy laws

Residents of states with comprehensive consumer privacy laws may have the additional rights described below.

California (CCPA/CPRA).

If you are a California resident, you have the rights described in this paragraph. The categories of personal information we have collected, the sources of that information, the business and commercial purposes for which we collect and use it, and the categories of third parties to which we disclose it are described in Sections 1 through 4 of this Policy. Over the preceding 12 months, we have collected the categories of personal information identified in the Section 1 table (including identifiers, customer records, commercial information, internet/network activity, geolocation, sensitive personal information, and inferences). We have disclosed those categories to the recipients described in Section 4, for the purposes described in Section 3. Subject to certain exceptions, you have the right to:

  • know and access the specific pieces and categories of personal information we have collected about you, the sources, the purposes, and the categories of recipients;
  • delete personal information we have collected from you;
  • correct inaccurate personal information we maintain about you;
  • opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of your personal information and of cross-context behavioral (targeted) advertising;
  • limit the use and disclosure of sensitive personal information to those purposes permitted under the CCPA; and
  • non-discrimination, to not receive discriminatory treatment for exercising your rights.

You may exercise these rights as described in subsection (c) below. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf, provided the agent gives proof of authorization and we can verify your identity. If we deny your request, you may appeal by contacting us at privacy@freetime.app; we will respond to your appeal within the period required by law.

Other states.

Residents of other states with comprehensive privacy laws may have similar rights and can contact us at privacy@freetime.app.

(c) How to submit a request and how we verify identity

You can delete your account yourself at any time from our account deletion page or from the FreeTime app. To exercise any of the other rights above, or to request deletion when you cannot sign in, submit a request to privacy@freetime.app. To protect your information, we will take steps to verify your identity before acting on a request. Typically, we ask you to confirm information already associated with your account, or to log in to your account. The verification we require may vary with the sensitivity of the information and the nature of the request. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law. For opt-out-of-sale/share and targeted-advertising requests, we also honor recognized opt-out preference signals as described in Section 5.

10. Sensitive Information

In limited circumstances, we collect information that may be considered “sensitive” under applicable law. This happens primarily in connection with Provider identity verification and background checks, and includes government identifiers and information about criminal history. It also includes precise geolocation used to deliver services. We use sensitive information only for the purposes permitted by law. These include verifying identity, providing the services you or a Provider request, ensuring safety and security, preventing fraud, and complying with legal obligations. We do not use it to infer characteristics about you. Background-check information is obtained and processed through our third-party vendor, Checkr. Where the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) or similar laws apply, we follow the notices, authorizations, and adverse-action procedures those laws require. We restrict internal access to sensitive information and retain it only as long as necessary. Where required, you may limit our use of sensitive personal information as described in Section 9.

11. Children's Privacy

The Platform is intended for and directed to adults who are at least 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you are under 18, please do not use the Platform or provide any information about yourself to us. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 18, we will delete that information promptly. If you believe a child may have provided us with personal information, please contact us at privacy@freetime.app.

12. Third-Party Links and Services

The Platform may contain links to, or integrate with, third-party websites, applications, and services (for example, our payment processor, mapping services, and social-login providers). We do not control, and are not responsible for, the privacy practices or content of those third parties. Their collection and use of information is governed by their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to review them before providing information.

13. International Users and U.S. Processing

The Platform is operated in the United States and is intended for users located in the United States. Regardless of where you access the Platform, your information will be processed and stored in the United States and other locations where we or our service providers operate. Those locations may have data-protection laws that differ from those in your jurisdiction. By using the Platform, you understand that your information will be processed in the United States. If you are located outside the United States, please do not use the Platform if U.S. processing is not permitted for you.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technologies, legal requirements, or for other operational reasons. When we do, we will revise the “Effective date” above and post the updated Policy on the Platform. If we make material changes, we will provide additional notice as required by applicable law (for example, by email or an in-Platform notice). Your continued use of the Platform after an updated Policy becomes effective constitutes your acknowledgment of the changes to the extent permitted by law.
